Tyler Public Library has teamed up with P.A.T.H. to help keep children and teens warm this winter, in both body and mind. On November 19 and 20, when kids receive a coat from PATH’s Coats for Kids distribution, they will also walk away with a free book from the Library.
About half of the books donated had been withdrawn from Library shelves after being replaced with newer editions and titles. Other books came from individual donations to the Library and from two book drives. Boy Scout Nelson Hyland coordinated the book donation drives at Moore Middle School and at his family church, then boxed up the books according to reading level and delivered them to the Library.
