It will be a great family fun as Downtown Longview’s Heritage Plaza transforms into a big outdoor movie theatre marking the favorite annual event, Movies at Heritage Plaza in Downtown, Longview.
Longview Cable TV has partnered with  Downtown Longview’s historic One Hundred Acres of Heritage Main Street program  to bring “Charlie and The Chocolate Factory” on a big outdoor movie screen On Saturday, October 8th at 6:30 p.m.
The movie is about Charlie Bucket a poor little boy whose dream comes true when he gets a chance to tour Willy Wonka’s amazing factory with four other – much naughtier – children. This unique tour changed Charlie’s life forever. The community is invited to bring lawn chairs and blankets to Heritage Plaza for free pre-movie activities.
In addition, Willy Wonka will make a personal appearance. Prizes and candy treats will be given to kids.  Also, the ArtsView Theater will grace the evening with a fun-filled play.  Made Rite Co. is generously providing refreshments to early birds.
According to Elaine Reynolds, vice president, One Hundred Acres of Heritage Main Street, the free family movie is a unique way for the community to get together for an evening of family fun.
Heritage Plaza is located at the corner of Green and Methvin, and is next to the United States post office in Downtown Longview.
