Good Shepherd Health System proudly begins a new chapter in exceptional emergency care as the doors opened Tuesday, on the new Good Shepherd NorthPark Emergency Department. Convenience, easy access and comprehensive care have come to North Longview.
Staffed by experienced emergency nurses and the expert physicians of Leading Edge Medical Associates, patients will receive the same top quality care provided at Good Shepherd’s Level II Trauma Center.
The Good Shepherd NorthPark ER will receive ambulance patients and transport patients who need a higher level of care after they are stabilized to the Medical Center, as needed.
An extraordinary facility, Good Shepherd NorthPark Medical Plaza encompasses 77,000 square feet and in addition to the ER will house several Good Shepherd specialties including outpatient imaging, family medicine and internal medicine. Longview Orthopaedic Clinic Association is also located at Good Shepherd NorthPark.
A full range of outpatient imaging services will be available this fall, including ultrasound, X-ray, 128-slice CT, 3D mammography and open MRI. The new open MRI is strongest of this type of technology in Longview at 1.2 tesla and provides better quality pictures and a more comfortable experience for patients. The CT also offers and enhanced patient experience with its roomy opening, lower dose and superb imaging. The radiologists of Medical Imaging Consultants, who also care for patients at the Medical Center, will provide interpretation services of all imaging procedures.
