On your mark, get set, design! The Tyler Public Library is hosting the Lego® Designs Family Contest from Monday, November 4 to Thursday, November 7. Families are invited to come create designs based on their favorite books using Lego® building blocks.

The Library will provide all the materials, while families provide creativity and imagination. “Building with toys like Lego® Blocks enriches young minds, and creating together enhances family time.

The Library is pleased to give our community such opportunities,” says Youth Services Librarian Linda Gray. Families can build their designs from 5:15 to 6:45 p.m. Monday, November. 4 to Thursday, November. 7 in the Library story room. Judging will take place on Friday, November. 8. All entries will be displayed in the Library throughout the month of November. This week long program will replace the Library’s regular monthly Lego® Block Party. The December session of the Lego® Block Party will be cancelled as it is scheduled so close to the Christmas holidays.
