LeTourneau University will feature “Pinkalicious the Musical,” a family oriented production from Vital Theater Company, at 2 p.m., Sunday, April 14, in the S.E. Belcher Jr. Chapel and Performance Center, 2100 S. Mobberly Ave., in Longview.

Tickets will be sold through the Belcher Center box office, priced at $11 for children 14 and under, $16 for adults in the lower balcony and $21 for orchestra seating.

“Pinkalicious the Musical” is based on the children’s book by award-winning author/illustrator Victoria Kann and her sister Elizabeth. Victoria’s inspiration for the story came from her two young daughters who love cupcakes and the color pink. “Pinkalicious the Musical” is a story that follows a young girl who is turned pink from overindulgence in sugary desserts.

“Pinkalicious the Musical” is part of Vital Theater Company’s family programming, which includes other productions such as “Show Way” and “A(Tooth) Fairy Tale.” Based in New York City, Vital has been performing for over a decade. The company has garnered numerous awards and honors, including the American Theatre Wing Award for Continued Commitment

to Excellence in Theatre.

Vital also tours adult-oriented shows on subjects ranging from family drama to the emotional trials of cancer. The Vital Voices: Arts in Education program provides children with practical experience in theater, both in production design and in writing.
