The 2011 edition of limited-run, collectible Christmas ornaments has arrived in Downtown Tyler. Each year, Tyler Main Street (a department of the City of Tyler dedicated to downtown revitalization) issues a new ornament depicting an historic downtown Tyler building. This year’s ornament features Liberty Hall in its early days at Liberty Theater.
The 2011 edition is limited to a production of only 500 ornaments. Each ornament is hand-numbered.
Ornaments are $10 each, and all proceeds go to help fund the Main Street Department. Its projects include Gallery Main Street, downtown Tyler arts programming, historic preservation projects, special events such as Main Street Flower Market and Festival on the Square, business assistance and more.
A limited number of ornaments from the past three years are also available for $10 each.
Ornaments are available at the following locations: Murphey the Jeweler 2, 1725 Troup Highway, Suite C; Fancy’s Run, 3307 Chandler Highway (Highway 31 West); Tyler Chamber of Commerce, 315 N. Broadway, and Gallery Main Street, 110 W. Erwin.
Those with questions should call Tyler Main Street at (903) 593-6905.
