Longview Regional Medical Center employees give back to the Boys and Girls Club of Gregg County this holiday season.

Longview Regional Medical Center (LRMC) spent Wednesday, December 12 hosting a hamburger and hot dog cookout to raise funds for the Boys and Girls Club of Gregg County. Held on the hospital campus, the event collected $1650 for this worthy cause as more than 300 LRMC employees attended and enjoyed the savory affair and then presented a check to the club.

Among the hospital staff in attendance was Chief Nursing Officer Stephanie Foster, RN. Another LRMC employee who took avid part was Director of the Skilled Nursing Unit Monica Mason, RN, who also sits on the Boys and Girls Club board of directors. “Giving back to the Boys and Girls Club shapes a young life,” said Mason. “It opens the door to many possibilities for the children, especially around the holiday season.” LRMC and its employees traditionally serve East Texas in many capacities in addition to untouched medical treatment. The support of the Boys and Girls Club is a major cause regularly served by the hospital family.
