Carter BloodCare recently awarded PTHS Leadership class and the Pine Tree high school student body as the Best Performing High School by 4A classification and the Best Performing High School Overall for 2011. The award is given for their outstanding volunteer work in assisting with blood drives on campus.
According to the Carter BloodCare web page, at least 10% of the North Central and East Texas blood supply comes from high school blood drives. Hosting a drive is a fun and rewarding event that also takes time, leadership and commitment for those involved.
