On Saturday, Oct. 15, girls age 5-12 are invited to gather at the Tyler Public Library from 10 a.m. to noon for another meeting of the American Girl® Reading Club.
This year’s Reading Club meetings will highlight the American Girl® series of “history mysteries.” The featured book is the Samantha mystery, “Clue in the Castle Tower.”  Samantha travels to England in 1907 and solves the mystery of valuable books that are disappearing from a castle library.
At each monthly meeting, girls ages 5-12 explore history through foods, games, crafts and other activities suggested by an American Girl® book, heroine and historical era. Mothers, aunts, grandmothers and other special adults are encouraged to attend with their child.
The American Girl®  Reading Club meets on the third Saturday of each month in the Library’s Taylor Auditorium, 201 S. College in downtown Tyler. The public is welcome, no prior registration or fees are required. For more information, call 903-593-7323 or visit www.tylerlibrary.com.
