Tyler ISD recently received the Association of School Business Officials (ASBO) International Certificate of Excellence (COE) in Financial Reporting for its Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) for the fiscal year ending 2013.
This is the second award the District has received for its CAFR, the first being a Certificate of Excellence from the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada.
Sponsored by VALIC, the ASBO International COE award confirms the school district business office’s commitment to financial accountability and transparency. Recognition through the COE program can help strengthen a district’s presentation for bond issuance statements and promotes a high level of financial reporting.
Founded in 1910, the ASBO International is an educational association that supports school business professionals who are passionate about quality education. ASBO International is committed to providing programs and services that promote the highest standards of school business management, professional growth, and the effective use of educational resources. Through its programs, services, advocacy, and global network, ASBO International is the voice of school business officials.
