The Smith County Volunteer Fireman’s Association was presented with an appreciation plaque for its $5,000 donation to Camp I’m Still Me, put on every year for children who have been burn victims.

Members of the Smith County Fire Marshal’s Office visited Camp I’m Still Me on June 6, 2017.

Smith County Fire Marshal Connie McCoy-Wasson said they made the trip to Scottville, near Marshall, to interact with the children and show their support to the Brother’s Keeper Motorcycle Club, made up of firemen who raise money to support the camp.

“It was an amazing experience and to get to see these kids enjoy themselves was awesome,” McCoy-Wasson said.

During the Smith County Volunteer Fireman’s Association Quarterly Meeting, the Brother’s Keepers Motorcycle Group presented Mrs. McCoy-Wasson and the other association members with the plaque in appreciation for their “continued support of the Brother’s Keepers Motorcycle Club and Camp I’m Still Me.
